Tickets available for tonight's HAC performance

An upcoming theatre performance, 'Winds of Change' by TRAM Direct is set to raise awareness of #pancreaticcancer and the first stop on the theatre tour around Scotland, is our very own Harbour Arts Centre on Friday 6 September with tickets still available!

Teaming up with charity Pancreatic Cancer Action, the play is written and directed by the Founder and Artistic Director of TRAM Direct Theatre Company, Isobel Barrett.

HAC ticket info is available in the post below for the story of a Glasgow family of four - a mother, father, and two teenage children - whose lives are upended by the father’s sudden diagnosis of pancreatic cancer.

This heartfelt production seeks to shed light on the often misdiagnosed and misunderstood disease.Writer Isobel tragically lost her husband to pancreatic cancer within just three weeks of diagnosis.

Inspired by her personal experience, she has dedicated herself to raising awareness through her work. In preparation for ‘Winds of Change’, Isobel conducted extensive research, interviewing medical professionals, survivors, and families affected by pancreatic cancer.

Her unique insight gives the play a personal and emotional depth that resonates with audiences.Isobel shares: “After losing my husband to pancreatic cancer and, with my degree being in English Literature, I realised the power of the Arts to convey important information.

"As such, the play ‘Winds of Change’ was written to impart valuable insight to the symptoms of pancreatic cancer, the silent killer.”

Attendees will also be treated to musical interludes that enhance the emotional atmosphere of the performance. Quotes from early reviews describe ‘Winds of Change’ as “heart-warming and full of humour,” with audience members remarking that,
