    To report litter, tell us where it is and what it is.

    Report litter form

    Our teams remove litter, illegally dumped waste and antisocial debris from public areas.

    We don’t remove waste from private land or gardens.

    Fixed penalties

    Working alongside Community Police Officers, we carry out regular patrols throughout North Ayrshire. These officers can issue fixed penalty fines.

    The fixed penalty for litter is £80 and can be paid online.

    Pay a fixed penalty form

    Failure to remove waste after a fixed penalty has been issued may result in an extra charge for removal and disposal costs.

    Failure to pay a fixed penalty can result in action by Sheriff Officers or the Procurator Fiscal. If you are prosecuted, you may face a jail term and a £40,000 fine. Vehicles used to carry out the crime can be seized and destroyed.
