Mental health and wellbeing advice

The health and wellbeing of our education community is important to us. We recognise that keeping active and being well promotes positive wellbeing and improved attainment.

It is important we look after our own mental wellbeing and that of those closest to us.

Community Mapping (Mental health and wellbeing for young people)

The Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Supports and Services Framework seeks to ensure children, young people and families have access to locally based mental health and wellbeing supports and services. To meet this need, we have employed two Mental Health and Wellbeing (MHWB) Project Delivery Officers. Their tasks include:

  • conducting a community mapping exercise
  • ensuring information is communicated to local communities

This mapping exercise, for the Garnock Valley Locality, shares information and research that has been collected during an ongoing community mapping process. This list is not exhaustive and will be updated regularly. Inclusion of supports does not indicate endorsement by North Ayrshire Council. You should conduct your own checks to ensure any service sought meets your needs.

We aim to provide young people (aged 5 to 25) and families with access to quality information and services, and where appropriate advice and counselling signposting opportunities.

It’s important to talk to someone about how you are feeling. This could be a family member or friend, your GP or by calling a helpline.

Remember, if you or someone else is in immediate danger call 999.

Advice is available through our dedicated Community MHWB Blog.

If your service would like to be included in these documents or there are edits you feel may need to be made, please email the Youth Work Team.
