Modern Apprenticeships (MA)
MAs are paid at the National Minimum Wage supporting you to earn a wage whilst you get an industry recognised qualification. We recruit over 40 new apprentices each year within various departments.
As a council employee, you will undertake on, and off, job training to develop your:
- skills
- knowledge
- experience

Our Apprenticeship Charter
We deliver a successful Modern Apprenticeship (MA) programme across various council services, supporting the North Ayrshire Apprenticeship Charter. The charter confirms our commitment to create MAs for North Ayrshire young people. Developing young people as part of the council’s future workforce planning approach.
