Volunteering is a great way to meet new people, learn new skills and keep active. There are a variety of volunteer opportunities available. If you have time to spare and are interested in heritage, visitor management or gardening we would love to hear from you!

We have exciting and interesting ways for people to get involved in Eglinton Park, including our groups. If you would like to find out more about any of the opportunities available get in touch.

Path stewardship group

The group meets every Monday from 9.30am to 12.30pm to participates in activities including surveys and maintenance of the parks path network.

Friday volunteers

The group meets every Friday from 9.30am to 12.30pm and participate in activities including practical conservation tasks, gardening and biodiversity surveys.

Junior Rangers

The Scottish Countryside Rangers Association Junior Ranger scheme is open to North Ayrshire residents aged between 11 and 18. Activities take place once a month and follow these key principles:

delivered primarily by Countryside Rangers working with local partners
providing opportunities to develop transferable understanding and experience of the Ranger profession
demonstrating benefits to the local natural and cultural heritage
comprising a programme of meetings focusing on environmental awareness, skills development and citizenship
providing enjoyable, inspirational and relevant outdoor learning experiences
