Energy Support Grant is available
An Energy Support Grant is available now for North Ayrshire residents who are struggling to pay their home energy bills.
As we continue to navigate our way through the Cost-of-Living Crisis, North Ayrshire Council’s Energy Smart programme aims to support residents with both financial and practical assistance.
The council continues to work hard to support as many residents as possible.
The Energy Support Grant is part of the Energy Smart scheme, and the grant offers payments of up to £500 to residents who:
- are struggling to pay energy bills
- are at risk of being cut off
- have a gross household income of less than £29,894 and
- are not in receipt of benefits, due to the availability of the Scottish Welfare Fund.
The grant is available to support utility payments and help lift residents out of fuel debt. It also supports households in receipt of benefits living in a property with a pre-payment meter.
Quote: This time of year can be very stressful for people who are struggling to pay their gas and electricity bills. As we all know, winter can be particularly cold, and there is no need to suffer in silence. Please contact us to find out what financial support is available for your household.
