Important update on Eglinton Country Park

Traffic cones and tree cutting warning sign in woodland at Eglinton Country Park

Important update! Initial repair works underway...

The Countryside Rangers Service and other staff at Eglinton Park, Kilwinning, have been busy assessing the safety of footpaths and trails.

Currently, visitors can use the café, car park and playpark. However, due to storm damage the network of paths is mainly inaccessible due to dangerous overhanging trees and fallen trees.

This means the majority of paths are either totally or partially inaccessible and are, therefore, unsafe.

As we continue to clean-up and carry out initial repair works in the wake of Storm Eowyn, visitors are advised not to visit the park with the intention of walking the trails and network of paths in the meantime.

Unfortunately we have also incurred damage to the fence that surrounds the inclusive play area. If you are visiting, please be extra vigilant in supervising young children.

Please check the Council’s official social media channels Facebook and X for updates.
