Car parks in North Ayrshire
Seafront car park, Largs
The Seafront car park operates a pay and display system with card only payment. The three pay stations are located at the north, central and south areas of the car park.
Pay for your expected parking duration and display your ticket prominently within your vehicle.
Parking tariff:
- up to 1 hour - £1
- up to 3 hours - £3
- all day ticket (24 hours) - £5
- 2 day ticket (48 hours) - £10
- 3 day ticket (72 hours) - £15
- 4 day ticket (96 hours) - £20
Parking penalty charge of £100 applies to the following:
- no ticket
- expired ticket
- parked outside marked bay
- unauthorised use of disabled bay
- unauthorised vehicle type
Blue badge holders
The Seafront car park has designated disabled bays. However, payment of the parking tariff is required before you exit.

Bellman’s Close car park, Largs
Bellman’s Close car park operates a pay and display system. Pay for your expected parking duration and display your ticket prominently within your vehicle.
Parking tariff:
- up to 1 hour - £1.50
- up to 2 hours - £2.00
- up to 4 hours - £3.50
Please note: Maximum stay is 4 hours.
Short stay car parks
Short stay parking, for a maximum of 3 hours, is available in the following council controlled car parks. The 3 hour limit applies Monday to Saturday, between 9am and 5pm:
- West Road (Bridgegate) in Irvine - car park accessed from West Road
- Kirkgate in Irvine - car park accessed from Kirkgate
- Oxenward in Kilwinning - car park accessed from Lauchlan Way
Exceeding a short stay limit
Car park time limits will be enforced by the Parking Enforcement Team. Vehicles exceeding the time limit may receive a Penalty Charge Notice.
Long stay car parks
Long stay parking is available at:
- Caledonian and Harbour Road, Irvine
- Union Street, Chapelwell Street, and The Braes, Saltcoats
- Woodwynd, Kilwinning

Strathclyde Partnership for Transport provides park and ride at stations across North Ayrshire.

Parking is available at, or near, the following ferry ports:
Disabled parking
The Blue Badge scheme entitles disabled drivers, and those who drive on their behalf, to parking concessions. These include parking in specially marked bays and on single and double yellow lines without time limit, provided you don't block traffic or cause danger to other road users.
Disabled residents' parking bay
Blue Badge holders with a suitable vehicle registered at a home address, may be eligible for a disabled resident's parking bay.
Please note: North Ayrshire Council does not operate a residents' parking permit scheme.
