Parking Penalty Charge Notice
North Ayrshire Council employ Parking Enforcement Officers to enforce parking restrictions on roads and pavements and in some off-street car parks.
Parking Enforcement Officers can issue Penalty Charge Notices (PCN) to vehicles that do not comply with parking rules.
PCN - parking fine
A parking PCN shows the following information:
- the date and time of the contravention
- the place the parking contravention took place
- reason for issuing the notice
Cost of parking PCN
Parking PCNs are set at £100.
If paid within 14 days from the date on the notice the PCN is discounted by 50% to £50.
Non-payment of PCNs issued by North Ayrshire Council Parking Enforcement Officers will incur a 50% surcharge and be passed to Sheriff Officers for debt recovery.
Revenue from the issue of parking PCNs will be used to maintain the service. Any surplus will be used for traffic related projects.
